Well, it was Addy’s turn to get a swim suit! Made for Mermaids is releasing their “Mermaid Shores Swim Collection”, which includes so many different suits for both girls and women. We were able to test out the new Lainey Swimsuit, which has so many adorable options.
The Lainey Swimsuuit is a two-piece suit with lots of combinations (It also looks adorable with the new Calypso Swimsuit). For the top, you have the option of either a tankini or bikini length. I used the tankini length and then added one of the other features- ruffles! What little girl wouldn’t want a suit covered in ruffles? One of the things that I love about this suit is it makes it so easy to use coordinating fabrics. We used both polka dots and stripes, both from Zenith and Quasar. Between the bodice, ruffle, and neckband, there are so many ways to mix fabrics. There is also an optional strap that can be added to the shoulder, however I choose to leave it off this time around.
The bottoms have several options as well. You can either do an elastic or banded waistband, as well as adding another ruffle. The bottoms are a traditional full coverage style- which works well for us, as we’re still sporting a diaper! It hits right below the belly button and gives plenty of coverage.
As you can see, someone wasn’t really into pictures of the suit when we ventured outside, so we ended up inside. However, we did put it to the test with our “Slip and Slide Bowling” and it was so stinking cute on her!
