Swim suit season is officially upon us. I’ve been busy the last few weeks making suits for almost everyone in the family (once again, hubby is left out!). There are so many fun options that have recently been released for almost everyone in the family. Here are just a few of them, with more to come later!
First up is for the little man in your life. Sew a Little Seam recently created an add-on pack for the already amazing Linden Shorts and Skirt. With the add-on pack, you can add cargo shorts, a zipper, and a swim lining. I made up a pair of board shorts with a liner and slant pockets for my son. He is absolutely obsessed with anything space related right now, so this board short material from Zenith and Quasar was perfect! He’s already worn them several times to swimming and they’ve held up amazingly.
Up next, Mama got a new suit, or I should say suits! After two kids, it is nice to have some extra coverage, while at the same time still feeling great about yourself. Patterns for Pirates has released the Take the Plunge Suit, which is a great combination of comfort and sexiness. The bodice on this suit is so much fun! It has great ruching details on the side and creates a crossover front. Every single tester looked amazing in this style of top. You have several strap options to choose from, including halter, full back (which I made), low back, and crossover ties. And in true Patterns for Pirates fashion, you also have options for the bottoms. You can either add some ruching here as well or a regular bottom. I can not say enough about this suit! I can chase my kids around, hold everything in, while still feeling good! This might be the ultimate “mom” suit that we’ve all been looking for! Get out there ladies and enjoy that sunshine with your kids!
